Top Five Wednesday: Fictional Jobs You’d Want To Have

Well, well, well let me see. This list, quite honestly, had to be narrowed down from one of hundreds. There are too many amazing fictional jobs out there that I’ve fantasied myself working in. To be real, I’ve worked harder at these fantasy jobs than I ever have in my real life. “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”-J.K. Rowling

1. Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Harry Potter

I would love to teach my favourite magical subject to a bunch of super, cool magical children, in a magical school.

2. Shadowhunter

The Mortal Instruments

It would be a dream come true to say killing a demon was just another day in the office.

3. A Wraith

Six of Crows

Of course I would opt to be a part of Kaz’s band of criminals. Clearly, I would be Inez’s apprentice or understudy or something (ahah) because nobody can replace her.

4. Knight of Narnia

The Chronicles of Narnia

This has been one of my longest fantasies. Narnia is more home to me than the actual home I currently lived in. And even as a child I knew that if my home was ever in trouble I would fight for it. What better way than to become a knight and do it for a living?

5. A Ring Bearer

The Lord of the Rings

Who doesn’t have their evil side constantly trying to make them do evil things like steal the ring of power thinking they’ll be able to fight the pull of Sauron and save Middle Earth forever because clearly I’d be able to so maybe somebody should just give me the ring because it’s … it’s … my precious? Seriously though, being the hero of Middle Earth is my middle name.
